Definitive Guide to Size 10 Heels
Carrie Bradshaw might make wearing towering High Heels look like the easiest thing in the world, but, us girls know that there is so much more to it – especially when we’re wearing our most stylish and consequently least Comfortable High Heels. So, what about me? I wear Size 10 Heels and that makes shopping for and wearing Shoes even more difficult.
Despite what men think, size doesn’t really matter that much – not when it comes to heels anyway. Whether you’re a size 4 or a size 10, the visible difference isn’t that much. But, there are certain rules that must be followed. So, follow our definitive guide to wearing size 10 heels and you’ll be strutting your stuff like Sarah Jessica Parker in no time at all.
Hot on your heels
If you’re concerned that your size 10 heels make your feet look big, there are a few tips to help you make the most, or least, of your assets. Heels might not be the most comfortable to walk in, but they’re certainly the best for shortening the length of your foot. Another way to keep your feet looking dainty is to go for wedges, also offering improved comfort and style over stilettos.
Don’t miss the point
The shape of the shoe is all important when choosing your size 10 heels. Opt for a pointed toe to elongate your foot or try your feet in a rounded toe to give your foot a shortened look. Don’t forget that the width of your foot will also have an effect on the overall look, so if you’ve got narrow feet, it’s best to avoid heels with pointed toes.
Show your true colours
Many of the standard rules of clothing also apply to shoes. One such rule is the effect of wearing a particular colour. To make your feet look smaller, opt for a darker coloured shoe, and there are a number of deep, dark versions of reds, blues and greens to choose from so you won’t have to stick your black old faithfuls.
Strap them up
With straps across your foot, it will instantly begin to shorten the visual length. You can choose the width of the strap to suit your style, but the general rule is the wider the strap the more slimming the effect.

There’s no better way to see how your new heels look or feel, so try them on for size. What looks good on the shelf might not suit your feet, fit properly or feel right – so try them on and take a walk. Once you’ve tried them on and they look and feel good, there’s no excuse for not buying them.
